Registered Manager (Complex Care) | Lewes, East Sussex | £50,000 to £55,000 plus Profit Share

Location: Just outside Lewes, East Sussex, BN8 (commutable from Brighton, Uckfield, Eastbourne, Haywards Heath, Newhaven and Seaford)
Base Salary: £50,000 to £55,000 per annum, plus profit share bonus (RN's potentially higher) 
Job Type: Full time, permanent, 40 hours, Monday to Friday, office based
Start Date: As soon as possible (notice periods considered)

Employer: Pivotal People Care is recruiting for this role on behalf of our client, an established complex care provider

The Role

Our client delivers complex clinical care in people’s own homes across Sussex and Surrey, for children, young people and adults.

They need a Registered Manager to lead their Sussex branch from their office just outside Lewes: a loyal team, a balanced mix of adult and paediatric clients, and fresh demand coming from Brighton and Crawley. Your mission is simple: take a good branch and make it a brilliant one.

You’ll lead Nurse Case Managers, Care Coordinators and a dedicated recruitment coordinator, working alongside a business development manager. Central HR, training, accounts and payroll sit behind you, so you can lead rather than chase timesheets.

What You’ll Do

• Hold full operational responsibility for the CQC-registered branch
• Keep high-acuity, clinically led packages safe and well run
• Lead inspections and act as Designated Safeguarding Officer
• Build strong relationships with commissioners, local authorities and NHS ICBs
• Turn referrals into packages through assessments, proposals and tenders
• Lead, coach and develop your team

What You’ll Bring

• Proven Registered Manager experience, ideally in complex or community care
• Experience of clinically led packages (24/7 care, long calls, complex needs)
• A record of growing a service and winning commissioner confidence
• Strong CQC knowledge and comfort across adults’ and children’s services
• A full UK driving licence and your own transport
• The right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)

Nice to have: nursing registration (a bonus, not a barrier), paediatric or learning disability experience, local knowledge of Brighton or Crawley.

A fair warning: this is community complex care, so experience in elderly residential care alone is unlikely to fit.
